Competition Subjects and Judging
- Monthly competition subjects will vary and can be either a set subject or an open subject.
- Details of future competition subjects are prepared at the beginning of each calendar year and listed in the Calendar of Events in the Newsletter.
- Competitions are usually judged by an external judge who also provides a critique of images that are awarded Honours, Merits and Highly Commended. There may be times when a panel of our own members provides the judging (peer judging).
- Three points are awarded for an Honour, two points for a Merit and one point for a Highly Commended in each category (depending on the number of entries in the category).
- Points are accumulated throughout the January to November club nights and the annual winners of each category are presented with awards at our Christmas function.
