Noosa Everglades Trip - 20th March 2016
On a recent Sunday morning, a group of 16 members were out of bed before dawn in order to be ready at 6 am to board the boat taking us up the Noosa River, across Lake Cootharaba and into the Noosa Everglades. Despite some rain the night before, we were lucky with the weather for the five hours of our trip – the breeze kept tickling the water, so the reflections were quite as perfect as we’d hoped, but we all thoroughly enjoyed our morning with our Guide, Bill, who kept us entertained with tales of the history and geography of the area. We went up as far as Harry’s Hut, stopping for morning tea on the way and everyone came home with wonderful images of a truly beautiful and magical part of the Sunshine Coast. We can all thoroughly recommend the trip into the Everglades if you’ve never done it before!
We’re now looking forward to our next adventure at the beginning of August, when a group of us will be spending a week in Arcadia Valley, north of Injune. See you all there then!
