Implementation of the CCG Competition Website
As foreshadowed in the November issue of COASTAL EXPOSURES, the transition to online management of our competition procedures is under way. It is anticipated that the MyPhotoClub (MPC) system hereafter referred to as the CCG Competition Website will be activated around 12th December.
Consequently, all members’ entries for the January 2017competition (Set Subject: Minimalist Images) will need to be submitted via the Internet to the CCG Competition Website.
Do not email 2017 DPI entries to the DPI Coordinator (ccgdpi @ gmail.com). If you have already entered or registered any 2017 entries via the old system, you will need to re-enter them at the CCG Competition Website. Our existing club website (www.caloundracameragroup.org) will be kept and will include a link to the Competition Website once it is activated.
A comprehensive guide to users of the new system, in the form of a PDF document entitled Competition Website Instructions, is in preparation.
It will be emailed to all members and posted on our existing website shortly after activation of the Competition Website (it is not feasible
to complete and test the Instructions before the Competition Website is activated, so please be patient!).
Our Committee and the members of the MPC subcommittee have worked long and hard under considerable time pressures to negotiate and implement the new system. They are convinced that the Competition Website will greatly reduce the workload of committee members and deliver other significant benefits to our club and its members.
Change, and especially disruptive technology, is the new norm, but the Committee has done everything possible to smooth the change-over. A relatively short and pain-free transition is anticipated and the support, patience, and characteristic good-humour of our members will doubtless prevail.
